The August (Fall) Semester begins the third week of August and the January (Spring) Semester begins the third week of January.
Registration for classes usually runs for the first two weeks of the semester.
After getting accepted into UB the next step is to pay your Commitment Deposit of BZD$175 (Local Students) & USD$175 (International Students) – this fee is a portion of your first semester fees.
All first-year students who have never done College Level Math and English Courses are required to take UB’s Placement Exams for Math and English. However, students who HAVE taken ATLIB are NOT required to take the UB Placement Exams.

Yes, the University of Belize produces over 1,000 graduates annually. While many remain in Belize, some also venture into further studies abroad and their credits usually transfer. We encourage our students to ensure that they receive all the necessary details of their admission from the universities they are planning to attend.
Yes, UB currently offers three Master’s programs: the Master of Philosophy, Master of Business Administration and the Master of Educational Leadership. Applications for these programs open annually from January to May.

Students have full control over their schedule and self-register for classes based on their Program Sequence. All New Students are required to attend the University’s Orientation Sessions where they learn the details of the registration process.
Majority of our programs have a blended modality (FTF & Online). However, some programs are offered fully online.
Deferrals should be submitted prior to the start of the semester you initially applied for.
Full-Time Associate programs are 2-years.
Full-Time Bachelor programs range from 2 – 5 years.
Certificate and Diploma programs range from 1.5 years – 2 years.
Graduate programs are usually 2 years.
Note: Some programs also have the option of Part-time study

Application opens January and ends March for the BNUR program. It is recommended that you apply early.
No, they will not transfer, they are two different programs.
The Associate in Biology and Chemistry. This program provides the foundation needed for those students who don’t have a science background or don’t meet the age requirement.
