If you are unable to attend your original test date, you can defer your OET Test booking to another date, venue, or test type, subject to the conditions and fees below.

• Go to test dates and locations
• From the drop down menu select your test type and country
• Find your test booking
• Your booking closing date will be displayed

How do I defer my test?

• Log in to your myOET candidate profile
• Click the small arrow in the Action column under 'My Applications'
• Click 'Defer'
• Choose your new test date and/or venue
• Confirm

Note:

• You can defer your test at any time including the day of the test, if you have NOT gone through the test day registration process at the test venue,
• Test day deferrals are subject to approval, you must complete the online Test Day Deferral form and submit this on the day of the test
• You must defer your whole application
• A deferral cannot be reversed

OET Test on Computer at a venue/OET@Home

If you are unable to attend the OET Test on the day you have booked, you can reschedule to a different date, venue, or test type up to two days before the start of your first sub-test. Subject to the conditions and fees below:

If you want to reschedule the LRW sub-test you must also reschedule your Speaking sub-test.

Must reschedule up to two days before the start of your first test.

How much does it cost to reschedule my test?

Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking reschedule fees:

Speaking reschedule fees:

Up to 7 days before the test

Prices displayed in US$ only apply to candidates taking their test in America.

To reschedule your LRW and Speaking sub-tests follow the steps below:

• Log in to your OET account
• Click on the My Bookings tab
• Select the booking you wish to change and click Reschedule Booking
• You will be asked which test you would like to defer
• If you want to reschedule the LRW you must also reschedule your Speaking test
• Select when, how and where you want to take the test
• Confirm your new dates and proceed to the payment page

To reschedule your Speaking sub-test only follow the steps below:

• Log in to your OET account
• Click on the My Bookings tab
• Select the booking you wish to reschedule and click Reschedule Booking
• You will be asked which test you would like to defer
• Continue to Change Speaking test only
• Select when, how and where you want to take the test
• Confirm the new dates and proceed to the payment page

Note:

• If you want to reschedule your venue to a different country, you must contact our customer service team
• If you have already taken one sub-test you cannot request to reschedule your remaining sub-tests

OET Test on Paper

It's easy to change your personal details with myOET:

• Log in to your profile
• Open the 'My Details' tab
• Click 'Edit Contact Info'

From here you can:

• Select your gender
• Change your contact number and email
• Edit your ID type, number and expiry date
• Select your nationality

Remember, the personal details you provide here must match your identification document exactly. If you provide inaccurate information, you may not be able to do your test.

Note: You cannot update your given name, family name, date of birth or profile photo in myOET. Contact customer support if any of these details are incorrect.

OET Test on Computer at a venue/OET@Home

Updating your personal details in your OET account is easy, simply log in and follow the steps below:

Note: If this is your first time logging in to your account you will need to fill in some basic information before being able to access all the features.

• Log in at oet-global.com
• Once you have completed the welcome process click the My Details tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
• From here you can update your:
• • Preferred name and avatar
  • Personal details
  • Contact information
  • ID document

  Remember, the personal details you provide here must match the identification you will bring to the test.

  Note: Any changes to your personal details in your account will affect your test booking. If you provide inaccurate information, you may not be able to do the OET Test
